Flectabed’s Qualities
Flectabed is a heat reflecting bed that is ideal for keeping your pet warm. It uses a revoluntary lightweight heat reflecting insulating material, developed as a result of NASA research into aluminised surfaces, to reflect back up to 95% of the heat radiated from your pet.
This bed is particularly beneficial for pets that feel the cold or have poor circulation.
Outer Cover
The cover is made from a superior quality quilted cream polycotton that is slighty padded for extra comfort.
The top layer is cream and the base layer is dark brown. The cover fastens with a Velcro strip on the base for easy removal.
The cover is fully machine washable at 30 degrees.
Filling
The inner filling is like a duvet and combines two key elements of thermal insulation to keep pets exceptionally warm. First, multi layered fibres trap pockets of warm air to reduce heat loss and, secondly, the reflective surfaces of the filling material reflect any lost body heat back to the pet.
Uses
Flectabed is not recommended for use in whelping.

Four different outer covers are available in the Flectabed range: Flectabed Q cream quilted (as described here), Flectabed Q brown quilted, cream fleece and cream fleece with integrated Permafresh. The outer covers are available to purchase separately.
If your pet suffers from skin conditions or allergies then the Flectabed with Permafresh in the outer cover might be of interest to you.
Waterproof Covers to protect the heat reflecting filling can also be purchased separately.
The heat reflecting filling is identical in all versions of the bed.
